The Porsche 356 was a lightweight luxury sports car built from 1948-65, rear engine and rear wheel drive, available as a hardtop coupe or a cabriolet. It was replaced by the 911 in 1963, but the 356 continued to be built until 1965
The first 356, 1948-54, had a split or centre crease in the windscreen. The prototype was the 356-1 roadster, these 356-2 are the first production cars.
The 1955-59 356A got a one piece windscreen.
Styling changed with the 1959-64 356B, it got a flatter hood, twin engine grilles and a larger back window.
The last 356, the 1964-65 356C, very similar to the B but the shape of the hood was squarer at the bottom and it got disc brakes.
Engine; 1.1 - 2.0 litre air cooled flat 4 cyl (4 cam Carrera option from 1955)
