c/n unknown Built at Langley in March 1944. She joined No1682 Bomber Defence Training Flight (BDTF) and when the unit disbanded in August that year she moved to 22 Operational Training Unit (OTU) at RAF Wellesbourne Mountford. In July 1945 this unit also disbanded and the Hurricane was allocated to No12 School of Technical Training (SoTT) at RAF Melksham. In September 1954 she was unveiled at RAF Biggin Hill and the following year, alongside Spitfire XVI SL674, she was placed outside St George’s Chapel of Remembrance. There she remained, in all weathers, until removed in February 1984 and taken to the Royal Aeronautical Society, Medway Branch for restoration. At this point she was found to be much less complete internally than had previously been thought, and no constructors plates could be found anywhere on the airframe. Restoration began in 1990, RAeS Medway now being known as the Medway Aircraft Preservation Society. Completed in her original 1682 BDTF markings, she was handed over in June 1995 and moved to Cosford for display during August the same year.
